Have you ever been out there? It's one of my favorite spots in the east bay. This is the view from the end of the walkable portion. The original pier was 3.5 MILES long (3000 feet are currently safe to walk on). Pretty impressive, especially if you consider that the Bay Bridge is only 5 miles long.
